|Wanderer The Wind (WTW) appears to be part of an ‘artists collective’ called Nenashigusa Nest. I heard about them from one of the girls in SL Universe, and was immediately struck by the hand-painted delicacy of their work. You’ll find them in Trenza, on the second floor of a rather simple little shop… it’s worth tracking them down. The prices are remarkably low and the styles are beautifully executed. I selected a number of items on my first visit, and upon revisiting the store today, found another new release I just had to have – and grabbed the original camisole in another color (It comes in white, white with tiny flowers, a polka dot version in seafoam/turquoise and a hot rose/pink, a floral version in pinky-peach, blue, and teal).
What’s “Just Right”: That the designer, Tomoe Zenovka, was able to make the bodice so exquisitely translucent is remarkable. The subtlety of the avatar skin beneath the clothing adds an exquisite reality to the garment. I love the lace accents along the panty and bodice of the camisole, and the highlighting is very nicely done. While the under-bust shading is very light, it doesn’t *detract* from a full bustline as some outfits do. I also like the embroidery detail on the bustline – it’s a nice extra touch.
What Could Use Improvement: I wish the lace sides on the panties arched just a little bit more – the straight across the hips line isn’t as pretty as a line with a bit of curve would be … but I also understand the constraints of the bottom hem of the chemise.
Other things to note: If you visit the store, be sure to check out the bookshelf area. There’s a lot of neat items tucked in there – you’ll need to cam around. Also, there are some very low priced extras available.
Special Thanks to Jeni Roussel, Alexa Lioncourt and Maureen Boccaccio, who dropped everything to help me out with the shoot! While I goofed up the group shot (100% my fault), I think these individual shots turned out rather nicely! Thank you, ladies!
