|BlackLace is a design house that really captures the flair for the dramatic! The Aealla corset in crimson satin and fishnet currently being offered for a limited time as part of the LOW shopping week is no exception. A few weeks ago, I purchased the original verison of Aealla – sexy and dramatic in all black. I liked it, but it felt like it was missing something; that ‘something’ was a punch of color. The new version has dialed it up to eleven with deep red satin.
What’s ‘Just Right’: The options you get with this ensemble are one of its strengths. At a whopping twenty-eight pieces, you have a ton of flexibility and extra accessories… even footwear and jewelry. I love the prim bows on the skirt. The under-bust shading is awesome and makes me want to jump up and down with sheer breast-physics joy. The rutching detail on the straps of the garters is another nice touch — as is the slightly ‘off’ clasp on the back of the bra strap, providing a bit of realism that makes the outfit.
What Could Use Improvement: The lacing — there are eyelets on the outfit, but the laces don’t go through the eyelets, just underneath them. I also found the boots a little difficult to size for my legs, so I wasn’t able to use them for the shoot. I wish there was a version of the skirt and bow without the little shooting star charm. It’s cute, but I wasn’t sure what stars had to do with the outfit. It matches the jewelry, yes, but it still left me scratching my head.
Additional Notes: While Aealla is not available on the Marketplace, Blacklace does have a strong presence there.
